Sney Rivier Lodge offers a pleasant hunting and holiday experience for hunters and their non-hunting companions alike. With its beautiful natural setting and the sumptuous interior, it offers complete calm and relaxation in the heart of the Namibian bush.

A true dream destination for many guests, and one to where they always love to return – Sney Rivier Lodge, built in 2009. Guests agree that nowhere else offers such an incomparable atmosphere where body and mind can find relaxation and inspiration. Despite the distance of well over 8000 km, the journey was pleasant thanks to direct overnight flights. The transfer from Windhoek airport took only two hours at a leisurely pace and guests were greeted with refreshing cocktails on this late morning at Sney Rivier.

On arrival, the lunch table is already set. The staff at the lodge are very courteous and look forward to welcoming their guests.

The spacious facilities with outdoor and indoor showers impress with their stylish elegance. A bubbling mini pool on the terrace invites you to cool off.

A specially equipped room is available for professional massages.

There are also many quiet seating areas in the main house. Thanks to the largely open design of the house, the temperature here is always pleasant, even in the hot Namibian summer from November to March.

The hunting guides on Sney Rivier are professionals. In the bush, they do everything they can to ensure their guests are successful. At the same time, they are extremely concerned about safety in all things.

The design of the lodge focuses on giving guests plenty of privacy – one reason why many guests become regulars. Five chalets, each with a view of the bush and the watering hole, offer space for a maximum of ten guests in total, ensuring that it never feels too busy. This has made Sney Rivier Lodge something of a well kept secret: It is, in fact, often the wives or partners of the hunters who inspire their significant others to go on this trip. Because where else could one have a more relaxed holiday than in a place where you can go hunting together or, if preferred, spend the day alone in the exceptional surroundings of your own sanctuary.

Hunting guests appreciate that Sney Rivier offers a variety of modern shotguns with high-quality design for customers to borrow. This means no one has to go through the trouble of travelling their own firearm. Of course guests can first test the borrowed shotgun at the lodge’s range thoroughly. While bringing firearms into Namibia at Windhoek airport is a quick process without a lot of red tape, it is still nice to travel light. And if someone wants to combine the stay at Sney Rivier with a tour of Namibia, borrowing a shotgun is the best option anyway. It makes the entire holiday as relaxed as possible.
